Oh, comics!

We have few friends, but perhaps once a year, A & M make their way from the west coast to our home and, over take-out and obscure Chinese cinema, we draw jam comics. The calendars, almanacs and grimoires were all wrong this year, however; instead of a brief, uncomfortable reunion that fizzled out only as we regained a feel for the peculiar gait of each other's language, we were fortunate to have the pleasure of their company on several occasions, and for extended periods, throughout the last month. During this rare eclipse of the authoritarian eye -- as if the lights had gone out in the Wal-Mart while one of us was standing next to an open video game display case -- we rushed out many short comic strips!

Below is a representative sampling of what we came up with. Written and drawn by bluecalico, mr_stillhere, stanleylieber and zettaichan over a regretably short period of time...

A note for the local authorities: Where citizens gather, often is heard the rambunctious din of political debate or religious raging -- but in our household, the rabble are most often to be found hunched over a notebook; even if just for fun.
