I just found myself trying to click the "like" button on LJ. There is no "like" button on LJ.
Anyway, I like boxes of colors with numbers in them.
Have I ever mentioned that I love that Bowie icon?
Thanks. Apparently mnemonics similar to this are taught to spies to improve their ability to instantly memorize new data while in the field. For example, instead of trying to remember a long string of numbers, the spy might instead transpose said numbers into a series of colors and/or objects and then focus on memorizing the mental image of the colors and/or objects. One common trick is to visualize a living room decorated with various knickknacks and furniture. Each object in the room, it's color, whether or not the lights are on, whether or not the windows/doors are open, etc., corresponds to a digit or letter in the sequence the spy is trying to memorize. | |
